WP7 App Development Error: Icon file ApplicationIcon.png not found. Make sure that the file is present in the application

Check the properties of the ApplicationIcon.png in Visual Studio.

The build action needs to be Content.

If you by chance exclude the icon file from the project and then re add it, the build actions gets set to “Resource”. Revert it to “Content” and things should be fine.
